"Thank
you so much for yet another successful Prefects' Leadership day. They
found the day informative, enjoyable and it gave them a broad view on
different issues."
Carmel
Carragher, Head of Sixth Form, Roedean School
Prefects
must have the ability to communicate effectively with other people,
not only students, but teachers and parents too. Their role often
involves effective problem solving, delegation, time management and
negotiation, as well as acting as a mediator and support network for
fellow pupils.
More
and more schools are beginning to understand the value of a training
programme that enables the prefect team to develop the skills that
are necessary for
effective performance.
Our
one day workshop involves a programme of experiential team
activities, appropriate theory and role plays that are tailored to
your school. After completing a course, individuals will:
-
Work more
effectively within a team.
-
Demonstrate
assertive behaviour.
-
Understand how
to communicate in a more flexible way.
-
Gain
a deep understanding of their preferred
behavioural style.
-
Learn
how to increase rapport using body language
and tonality.
Your
programme can be run at your site or you may wish to bring your group
to one of the venues that we use in Kent or Sussex.
We
are able to offer single day, multi day and residential options.
We
like to include ‘PRISM YP', an exciting self-discovery instrument
that helps young people to understand their preferred way of
behaving, why others behave in the way they do and how best to relate
to them.
